TRANSGENES
Lenti-ONE VEGF121
Lenti-ONE VEGF121 carries the VEGF121 cDNA. It encodes the vascular endothelial growth factor 121 (sequence from human genome, AF214570.1, 444 pb). This protein is a growth factor. It favors angiogenesis. It may also promote neuronal survival in experimental gene transfer assays.
DESCRIPTION
VEGF121 SIGNALING PATHWAY IN ENDOTHELIAL CELLS
EXAMPLES OF APPLICATIONS
- Use with flt1 promoter to target the expression in endothelial cells
- Use in vitro or in vivo to induce angiogenesis
- Use in vitro, in vivo to study cancer mechanisms
RESULTS
VEGF EXPRESSION IN VITRO USING NON-INTEGRATIVE LENTI-ONE
Transduction of 293T cells in vitro with non-integrative Lenti-ONE VEGF121, VEGF165 or VEGF165b (100ng p24) induces transgene expression and VEGF secretion in cell culture medium (measured by ELISA).
