Lenti-ONE GDNF

From €290.00

Description

GDNF cDNA encodes the glial cell derived neurotrophic factor (sequence from human genome, BC128108.1, 636 pb). This neurotrophic factor may be used to promote neuronal survival in experimental gene therapy assays.

GDNF signaling pathway in neurons

Igniting various cascades, GDNF can promote the transcription of survival factors through a Ras/MAPK/CREB pathway, and/or inhibit some death factors thanks to the P13K/AKT pathway.

Examples of Applications

  • Use in vitro, in vivo to study oxidative stress mechanisms
  • Use in vitro or in vivo to study nervous system
  • Use in vitro or in vivo to study neurodegenerescence pathways and develop experimental therapy for neurodegenerative diseases

When pseudotyped with a Mokola envelope, Lenti-ONE GDNF limits transduction to glial cells. It can be useful to overexpress GDNF in glial cells around damaged neurons.

GDNF EXPRESSION IN VITRO USING LENTI-ONE IN SCHWANN CELLS

GDNF expression in Schwann cells

Results provided by GEG Tech R&D

Transduction of primary Schwann cells by Lenti-ONE GDNF, or non-integrative Lenti-ONE GDNF. GDNF is secreted by cells and accumulates in cell culture medium and can be measured by ELISA.
