SOD cDNA encodes the superoxide dismutase 1 (sequence from human genome, NM_000454.4/CCDS 33536.1, 465 pb). This metalloproteinase is responsible for the dismutation of superoxides and contribute to the protection from oxidative damages.
EXAMPLES OF APPLICATIONS
Use in vitro or in vivo to study oxidative stress mechanisms
